The Skinny
on the Spectacle

Spend a night living in the Roaring Twenties

Blame it on the gin

You’re invited to leave your inhibitions (and Prohibitions) behind as you join a decadent party in the Roaring Twenties, brought to you by the producers of Sweet & Lucky. Indulge your inner flapper as you mingle with an unruly mix of vaudevillians, playboys, divas, and ingénues in a Manhattan apartment lost in time. Debauchery turns disastrous as wild guests become unhinged and their solo songs reveal the drama bubbling underneath the surface. Whether you’re a wallflower or a jitterbug, you’ll think this jazz- and gin-soaked immersive musical is the bee’s knees.

Queenie and Burrs’ House Rules

Don’t be a Dumb Dora, dollface. Follow the laws of our get-together and everything will be Jake.

  • All participants MUST present a valid ID at the door or they will be turned away without a refund.
  • Cocktails will be available for sale both before and after all performances and at intermission, but the bar will be closed during the show. You may keep your drink with you during the experience, but outside food and beverages are not allowed.
  • If you choose to add a drink to your ticket purchase, your drink ticket may be redeemed before or after the show and at intermission in the Hangar bar. Pre-purchased drink tickets will be valid for one beverage each at the Hangar bar only at your ticketed performance.
  • Depending on where your night takes you, characters might offer you a drink during the party. Of course the bathtub gin is alcoholic, so please decline if you do not want to drink alcohol.
  • Add to the 1920s vibe by coming dressed in your glad rags like pearls, suits, sequins and flapper fare – encouraged but not required.
  • Choose shoes suitable for standing and walking for short periods of time.
  • Celebrate Halloween with The Wild Party! Buy tickets for Sat, Oct 28 or Tue, Oct 31 and enjoy a post-show party, including a costume contest, music, and dancing. Party included with your ticket purchase; cash bar.

An Off-Center show is like no other theatre experience—by design. Off-Center focuses more on connecting people and upending expectations than on adhering to tradition. If you leave the show thinking “I’ve never seen anything like it,” then Off-Center has done its job. We want you to lose yourself, to welcome surprise and to remember that life is better when you live it Off-Center. As the newest and most unconventional arm of the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Off-Center made waves in summer 2016 with the sold-out hit Sweet & Lucky, the first large-scale immersive show in Denver.
